[Singer] Moira Smiley joins the long standing members consisting of Seamus Egan (flute, tenor banjo, mandolin, whistles, guitars, bodhran), Winifred Horan (fiddles, vocals), Eamon McElholm (guitars, keyboards, vocals) and, Mick McAuley (button accordion, vocals). Past Solas members are brought in as guest artists throughout the album, often with Smiley adding interesting harmonies. The personnel combination plus the bands’ non-traditional song choices, make this a cohesive and energetic album." - FolkWorks
As we come to the close of a dark and turbulent year it may seem difficult to hold space for gratitude. But, as the voices in this piece show, we find ourselves grateful for small, unexpected things and more hopeful because we pay attention to them. It was a privilege to spend time with these voices - friends from around the northern hemisphere - expressing their gratitude in 11 different languages. watch the accompanying video here: https://youtu.be/-y66h3Vg7kM
